A Field of Firsts
College Park Airport is the world's oldest continuously-operating airport and the "Field of Firsts," the site of many aviation firsts. The Foundation is named after this remarkable place and its exciting history.
The Field of Firsts Foundation (FOFF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise support for educational programming and exhibits at the College Park Aviation Museum and promote awareness about the historic significance of the College Park Airport, the world’s oldest continuously operating airport.
FOFF, founded in 1991, has generated community interest and financial support for numerous projects, including the design and construction of the museum, the documentary - "College Park Airport: The Early Years,” airfield interpretive tours, acquisition of historic memorabilia related to the Wright Brothers, Frank Lahm and Emile Berliner, Restoration Shop materials and equipment, pedal planes, interactive displays, and more.
